Hello, book nerds!
July was a busy month — we had many birthdays to celebrate (including my husband’s, who enjoys a big, themed, party).
Something else I did this month was watch K-Pop Demon Hunters — twice in 24 hours. I’m not even a K-Pop person generally, but I loved this movie wayyyyy more than I thought I would. The gist of the movie is that this K-Pop trio, Huntrix, are both popstars and demon hunters, and they must use their vocals to strengthen the Honmoon, or the barrier that keeps demons from entering their world. Well, the demons have one last trick up their sleeves to stop this from happening: a boy band. A demon boy band. A hot demon boy band.
Here’s basically how me and my bestie looked the whole time, especially when the boy band pulled up:

If you haven’t watched it, go do yourself a favor and stream it right now.
Outside the birthday bash and KPDH, we enjoyed our down time where we could get it. I’ve discovered the superpower that is walking on the treadmill and reading my kindle (with the handheld page-turner, to boot) and my step count has gone way up as a result. We also saw the new Superman movie, and I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t a fan. But what I was a fan of is the 12ft long shelf we installed in my office to hold more books (pics to come).
Now, what you’re really here for:
