Everything I read, watched, listened to, or played in November 2024

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Hello, book nerds!

November is always a great month. It contains many of my favorite things: my birthday, the annual Texas Book Fest, and Thanksgiving. Plus, we had some some extra goodies this year, like my husband accepting a new job, a Linkin Park concert, and a shopping spree day with my mom. Life is truly good, my friends, and I’m a happy camper.

So on top of all that, here’s all the media I consumed.

It was a good reading month, I had several five star reads! It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I really haven’t stopped thinking about The Will of the Many since I finished it.

I’m staying true to my commitment to manga by adding Sailor Moon to the mix.

  • THE PROMISE: I’m finally diving into the graphic novels for Avatar: The Last Airbender. Took me long enough.
  • CHAINSAW MAN (VOL 3 & 4): I did not see the end of volume 3 coming. Excited to keep reading.
  • SAILOR MOON: This is mostly for nostalgia (I had a Sailor Moon VHS that I watched repeatedly). But it’s entertaining in the same way as YA fantasy novels.
  • LORE OLYMPUS (VOL 7): Read the newest release in this series, and I’m not going to lie, I feel like I’ve forgotten so much of what happened before and who some of the characters were. Still entertaining, though.

  • ARRIVAL: I really liked this one, and I was invested in the characters. I definitely didn’t see the twist coming.
  • AMERICAN PSYCHO: What. a. Ride. This movie was wild, and it was such a commentary on the excesses of the Wall Street elite and they can quite literally get away with anything.
  • TWILIGHT: A mood re-watch for hoa hoa hoa season. Always hits.
  • HOT FROSTY: Lol. If you don’t think too hard about it, you’ll enjoy it.
  • X-MEN 3: Not bad. The end was interesting. The after credit scene definitely set it up to go somewhere that my husband says the rest of the movies never make good on.
  • SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE: This was a really interesting premise and look at class disparities. The cinematography is definitely a product of its time, but the storytelling was well done.

  • HAUTE & FREDDY: I eagerly await them to release more songs. They have 2, and I have them on repeat.
  • BULLY: The first song I’ve heard from this artist. I may have to check out more.
  • LINKIN PARK: They were great in concert. It really was a good performance, and the new lead singer nailed it.

That’s it and that’s all, folks. No games last month, I was entirely too busy to get sucked down a rabbit hole.
