My name is Ashley, I’m a human living in Texas, and I’m a bookworm (insert “Hi, Ashley”). But you knew that already.

I’ve been a reader since tiny humanhood, but I started my book review journey in 2021 on Instagram. By the end of 2022, I knew I wanted a permanent home for my thoughts and opinions, so January 1, 2023 I created this blog.

Here you’ll find reviews for a wide variety of fiction, and occasionally advance reviews for books coming out soon. But, perhaps even more importantly, I post discussion blogs where I discuss writing and bookish topics. Have you ever disliked a book, but couldn’t put a finger on why? I want to help readers hone their preferences. So with each new discussion blog (with approximately a 3-minute read time), I take a quick dive into a different writing or reading topic with the goal of helping you find what you like and don’t like. I want us all to spend more time with books we love, and less time with books we won’t love.
