Hello, book nerds!

What a year this has been. It’s had some ups and downs, but I can now confidently say that our household has arrived at peace. And I’m ready to bask in it.

It’s time for my annual holiday vacation from book blogging. I’ll be back in two weeks with my reading year recap, goals for 2025, and some fresh book reviews to throw your way. First up will probably be my ARC review for The Favorites by Layne Fargo, which I think I will definitely be recommending to fans of Taylor Jenkins Reid (think a sporty Daisy Jones & the Six that’s a mix of narration and documentary script). The first few chapters have me intrigued so far.

For now, I’m going to spend the next few weeks enjoying some down time. Which will include reading and family time of course, but also watching InuYasha (I’ve started my anime journey, wish me luck), playing around with my new phone (Merry Christmas to me, I was rocking an iPhone 11 for almost half a decade and it was showing), finally finishing Red Dead Redemption, and soaking up some quiet solitude to round out the year.
